THE GATHERING

This is an invitation to wind down the year, as well as an invitation into presence. It is also an opportunity to rest. And to deepen your awakening, for the benefit of all beings, which very much include yourself.

Rest and awakening may seem contradictory, but rest is actually a  prerequisite for awakening, and awakening is largely about letting go.

Awakening may seem like a lofty goal, but I believe that it's a gradual process, and as such available to all of us.

In fact, if you are reading this, your awakening has probably already begun.

This gathering will commence at 17:00 on arrival day (although you are welcome to arrive from 15:00) with an opening ceremony and a mindful movement session, followed by dinner. After dinner we'll have our first meditation session, and at this time we will start 48 hours of silence. During this time you will be allowed to ask questions at the dharma talk, with notes and at the scheduled private interviews. On Saturday evening we'll emerge from the silence, so that we can share and reflect on the experience together.

The gathering will finish after lunch on Sunday.

Aside from the seated and walking meditations, you can expect a strong FLOW practice in the morning, and a soft evening practice, as well as time for forest walks, reading and writing.

For this gathering there will be a suggested book list, however you are free to read something else, or not at all.

A digital detox is mandatory.

All levels of experience are welcome, although absolute meditation beginners are discouraged.

THE PLACE

Boklunda Gård is situated in the outskirts of the village Hjärnarp in the south of Sweden. Not far from the seaside, and surrounded by gorgeous peaceful Beech tree forest. The farmhouse is very cosy and welcoming, chickens as well as a cat live there. The owner Sofia is also a collector of antiques, vintage furniture and knick-knacks, which has resulted in bright rooms brimming with quirky details and charm. There's a cosy fireplace to read by too. The spacious and newly renovated shala features floor heating and panoramic windows.
