THE GATHERING

This gathering is for anyone who is curious about how ancient yogic teachings (beyond asana) could help us, here and now, to live a wiser and kinder life. 

We'll practice yoga, pranayama and meditation outside, in a gorgeous natural setting, in the world heritage Tramuntana mountains. We'll also share a yummy plant-based lunch prepared by a local chef.

At this retreat we'll talk about the Three Gunas, which according to yoga philosophy, are three types of essential qualities that imbue everything that exists as form in the universe. These qualities are Tamas, Rajas and Sattva and they're always changing in proportion and relationship to each other. We'll explore how we can learn to recognize each of them, and how to balance them.

 

To enjoy this experience more fully, we recommend staying phone-free for the day!

THE DAY

Approximate schedule

 9:15    meet up in the outskirts of Sóller.

 9:30    meditative walk up to a beautiful olive grove

10:00   yoga, pranayama & meditation -- exploring the 5 koshas

12:30   vegan brunch

13:30   a talk, questions & sharing

14:15   chanting & yoga nidra

15:00   adios

THE PLACE 

This day retreat will begin in gorgeous Sóller, the capital town of the beautiful Tramuntana mountains, where we will walk up to the spot for the day.  We'll be practicing yoga and meditation, learning about yoga philosophy, and sharing a nourishing plant-based lunch at a typical Mallorcan finca, set peacefully in an old olive grove. At the end of our time together, if you like, we recommend another gorgeous walk to the little hamlet of Biniaraix, or continuing down to Port de Sóller for a dip in the sea.

YOUR HOSTS

 

Lily is a certified Jivamukti teacher. She's also a talented writer and designer, and creator of the popular blog mallorcalma.com. As a Tramuntana local she knows all the hidden, non-touristy gems of this area. 

Victoria has been teaching yoga since 2007 and meditation since 2012. She recently graduated from a mindfulness teacher training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. She's also a writer.
